Join an adoption support group. A support group will not only give you help with your questions about adoption, but its members can be a great source of potential birth mothers for you. Run an ad in local newspapers. Write a short advertisement, including a link to your profile, and place it in newspapers on high circulation days like Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.

Distribute several of adoption networking cards (like business cards, but expressing that you want to adopt) to each of your friends, relatives, church members and coworkers, and tell them that you are hoping to adopt a baby. Ask them to refer any birthmother they may know to you. Youll be surprised at how willing people are to help.
Place your adoption business card on bulletin boards. Take a stack of your cards and a container of push pins or thumb tacks and scour your town for bulletin boards in libraries, laundromats, grocery stores, apartment complexes, mailing service stores, coffee shops, bookstores, college and university message centers, dormitory houses and student health care centers, and employee lounge areas of local businesses. Put your cards anywhere you think a potential birth mother or someone who might know a birth mother might be.

Schedule Networking Time. Schedule the time that you will spend networking to find an adoption situation. Take a full or part day a week to network. You could take a trip to neighboring city or a local college or university to network. You could make posters as well as your adoption networking "business" cards.
Enlist the Help of Friends. Get friends and family to take time to help network in their area.
